A coleman home furnace uses 3/4 horsepower motor to drive its main blower. what is the motor's horsepower in 64ths?
I'm trying to lite a coleman forced air furnace. Model # 2755A726, serial # 108828851, 70,000 btu/hr. It looks like the pilot lite location is up inside the furnace. I cant figure out how to get to that area where I need to place the match. It would take an awful long match to get it to that location. 12 inches inside maybe, or am i just not looking at it correctly? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
The fan works on the "on" setting except for when heat is called for. Then it turns off an doesn't come back on.
Got the blinking light 4 times the code means "high aux or spill limit switch open" what exactly is this?
Is this an expensive repair? Ballpark figure would be appreciated. Thanks
heating element heats up burners ignight then they shut off
I want to know the number of all parts that I can buy online.(special: Combustion Motor ,Combustion fan,Blower motor). Who's know, Please .........
Based on what I've read online, I believe the flame sensor on my early-90's standing-pilot Coleman furnace needs cleaning, but how do I get to it to do it? I'd love to not have to pay $50 to get someone out here if it's no big deal to DIY...
I've seen a picture of the flame sensor and understand it's near the pilot flame, but that's 6" into the unit thru' a little trap door...do I need to unscrew and take off the whole unit the gas hose is attached to?
Yeah, I'm not seeing how I can get to what I need to get to w/o taking the unit apart and I'm not THAT confident, even were I walked thru' it! One issue might be that this is a modular home with the type of unit suitable for mobiles and RVs.
Thank you for taking the time! But I think I'm going to fork over the $50...
I recently replaced some things. I replaced a 3 ton condenser unit and a-coil (Intertherm) with a 4 ton condenser unit and a-coil (Nordyne). The a-coil freezes up periodically. Do I need to replace my 3 ton blower assembly (Coleman Evcon Model # EB15B) with a 4 ton blower assembly? If so what kind should I buy? (Coleman like my electric furnace or Nordyne like my condenser and a-coil)
Particularly need to find out filter type and location for replacement before the cold weather sets in...
I installed a new thermostat however when I put my thermostat on auto the fan wont come on but if I set it to on the furnace blows out hot air but wont kick on the fan like it is a bad fan limit switch but I'm not sure which one it is because my diagram is faded,
Is is possible and safe for me to purchase and install a new 024-27666-001 Pressure Switch in my mobile furnace? Coleman furnace don't have model.
I am thinking about buying a used Coleman Taos trailer that does not have a heater. I would like to put one in. Is this possible or is that something that has to be installed from the start like an automatic transmission or A/C in a car?
This repair man told me it would take about 20 minutes to put a new one in and I would like to see if I could change it myself because the board itself costs 150 bucks and he's going to charge me somewhere between 250 and 300 buckaroos. Help!
So here are my choices:
York LX Series TM9V
Keeprite VS95
Coleman Comforteer 9.S
All are 95% efficiency. Keeprite has limited 10 year no hassle warranty (replacement of entire furance, including labour) and lifetime on heat exchanger. Coleman and York have limited 10 year parts and lifetime heat exchanger (same company).
The difference between the Coleman or York and the Keeprite, after rebates, would be approximately 1700 CDN (Keeprite being cheaper). I know there are lots of other great furnaces around, but these are my final choices, for various reasons. If cost didn't matter, I'd get an Amana. Nevertheless, could someone who knows suggest the best of these 3?
Thanks!
Hi, I've already checked online and on the coleman ac website, but it seems a little tough to find. My grandpa doesn't know how to replace the filters and he needs the manual. Thanks for the help!
i just purchased a new ac unit and we r trying to hook the furnace back up and the wires keep blowing out.
costs for purchasing and installing a new air and heat unit for a mobile home? It is a single wide 14 x 70. I am interested in the difference between central heat and air or a heat pump. I have a Coleman unit in but was told that it was a bit small for the home. I have been making repairs to it; some duct work and keeping it tuned every year. But it runs constantly and I think it may be more economical in the long run to just replace it all. .I live in central Georgia and in the summer it runs and runs and its already been well over a hundred degrees these last couple of weeks.
Also I do not run the furnace in the winter because it seems to not function properly and it is a gas furnace and I had a bad experience when I was young with a gas furnace. Will it be hard to put in something else, NOT gas powered for heat? I am tired of running space heaters because they are dangerous and expensive too.
Long question, I know but I really know nothing about this and I am tired of giving the electric company my money.
I was weed whacking around my mobile home when these two wires got tangled around it and ripped apart. A white one and a red one. I've connected them together (with them wire twist caps) But It still does not want to turn on, the heater and the air conditioner don't work.
The furnace is an old one model: Coleman 77008 and the AC 2 Unit wire has a serial number of 059820 (Maybe this information doesn't matter but still)
I see i need to look for a transformer anyone have a few pictures on what i kinda should be looking for than?
I was following the wire and it goes all the way up to a little box that contains two buttons one for fan control and one to switch between heat and cool.
The box the wire connects too, is that the control transformer or is that in the bottom part of the Furnace, where the gas line enters into etc.
I have a coleman GM9V furnace and I want to use the fan in it to cool my house. There is a switch in the furnace itself which claims it turns off the gas to the furnace. If I turn that off, and then tell my thermostat to heat the house to 90 will it kick on the fan, and have no heat? Or will I end up killing myself and my family?
I can also turn off the gas line to the furnace, but that kinda scares me.
The specific model of my furnace is a GM8T080A12UH11B.
Our blower does NOT run when the fan switch is set to on. The options we have are 'on' or 'auto' and neither will kick it on unless we have the heat cranked, and if we crank the heat it will be hotter. Our thermostat also has a 'cool' setting, but it seems to do nothing and we believe that is for if you have a cooling system attached to it.
I live in a mobile home, the a/c man told me my filters are wrong size. The are 14 x 20x 1. two of them. He said I needed one long one. What size do I get?
We bought a 1979 triple wide Lancer almost a year ago. We had a warranty service call because the heat and air doesn't blow in my daughter's room. The service tech says the furnace we have is out of code, in his words "illegal", and because of that the warranty company will not cover the duct repair. How do I find out if this guy knows what he is talking about. He says only a Coleman is in spec. I have limited paperwork from the previous owners but I know the original furnace was a Coleman.
The ductwork is in the ceiling, and I don't want to have to tear the ceiling out and replace it if I don't have to.
My wife and I just bought our first Tent Trailer for our growing little family of three!!! Its a used 1994 Coleman/Fleetwood Chesapeake and is in great condition. No leaks luckily. I've set it up now twice, once when we bought it to look at it and once to do a deep clean so luckily i've got that figured out. I have towed a lot of boats in my life so the towing isn't the problem but once we get to where we are going I would love any help you can give me. I am an avid camper, but never done anything but tent camping. Here are my basic questions.
1. What are the must haves when camping in a tent trailer for 2 or 3 nights or more?
2. How long do most deep-cell batteries last if i'm running the furnace?
3. If my propane tank is full, how long will that last running the furnace at night and using to cook all 3 meals a day.
4. What are the fun extras that aren't must haves but make life easier and camping with a tent trailer more fun and enjoyable?
5. What pressure should my tires be when towing? Should the pressure be less if I'm towing off-road?
6. What is the best way to charge batteries when your not near a permanent power supply? (outlet)
Thanks for any help you can give us.
the pilot light valve for a long time and every time I let go of it the pilot light goes out.
Where would I find the part number for the thermocouple?
How can I adjust the pilot light flame higher on my Coleman furnace, Model 7680, Series 859, S/N 3719217?
unit was set up in san diego and never used now it is in reno nv and gas ignites but will not stay lit
I replaced the gas valve and don't know how to hook the wires back up. there is a T,C,M on the valve. this is a forced air 80,000btu propane furnice ,with electronic pilot.
I have a coleman electric furnace from like 1994 and my heating my heating element are not getting hot, except for one of them, they worked this morning and now the don't the element is not broke into could this be the high limit switches and if so how can i test them.also before the stopped working the breaker kept getting tripped in the breaker box, so i looked in the funace and noticed one of the switches popped and made a very minor blue spark at the same time the breaker tripped any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have a Coleman 7600 propane furnace heating a 1000 square foot house. The furnace has an electrical wire going into it to power the blower.
At some point in the future I might get a woodburning stove and get rid of the furnace. So I'm thinking I also will be able to put an electrical outlet where the furnace is now. What kind of electrical connection (voltage and amperage) would have been installed for this furnace?
o.k i have a coleman electric furnace when i got my place this furnace had no wires to the elements or nothing i have hooked the elements to the breakers and use the breaker box as my switch but i need to know how to hook it uo right do i need a sequencer if so how do connect the elements to it and where do the thermostat wires go so i dont have to use the breaker thanks for any help.
I have been furnace shopping and then thought, "if it's not broken don't fix it". I know it's not efficient, but does anyone know how efficient this model is? I haven't been able to locate any info. It has a cast iron burner.
I have a coleman DGAA077BDTA furnace with no manual, woke up this morning with no heat, the flashing green light tells me that its an ignition problem, only thing is I don't have a manual to find it. And I don't want to get into anything that shouldn't be taken apart, can anyone please help my kids and pets and I are freezing!!
I have a Coleman Evcon pulse fired gas furnace that is causing me some headaches. The call for heat is there, all limits and the air pressure switch closes......the call goes through the ignition module and the ignitor fires. Gas valve opens and the units runs perfectly. Indoor motor comes on and all is well.
40 seconds pluse after everything seems well the gas valve kills the flame when there is still a call for heat. limits are still closed and the draft motor is still running. I have replaced the module with a new one but the furnace is doing the same thing. What the heck is going on with this thing?
The unit is 20 years old. No pilot and no flame sensor.
once again.... there is no pilot, so that means there is no thermocouple. DOC N- you do not know your a$$ from a shotgun barrell and I pray you are not part of the HVAC industry.
We woke up to a cold house this morning. We have a Coleman Furnace. It was flashing 11 red, meaning; Limit switch open - blower failure. The blower motor was very hot, so we turned it off and let it cool down. Now it flashes 4 red meaning; Limit switch open. What do I do??
I am a service tech and I'm not quite sure what to make of this situation. I recently had a customer call saying their furnace is not working. On arrival I noticed that the diagnostic light wasn't even on. On inspection I found out that the circuit board was bad, because you could see the burnt resistor on the board. I replaced the board with an exact replacement. The furnace fired up just like normal, and everything worked properly. 3 days later the customer called back saying the furnace quit working. When I checked it the second time, the diagnostic light was flashing a rapid constant flash. I checked the schematic to see what a rapid flashing would mean, and there was nothing listed for that type of error code. I went on-line looking if there was anything that would describe that kind of error code, and I came across a site that indicated that it meant a reversed polarity problem. I tried reversing the polarity, but that didn't make any difference. I assume the board is bad in some way, but if anyone would have any other suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.
what could it be? i'm cold i live in michigan.
is the flame sencing rod next to the ignitor? is that what needs to be cleaned?
got a mobile home Coleman Presidential 2 propane furnace with thermostat on kitchen wall next to unit in hall... no a/c hooked up to this unit...it is original to home... it worked just fine until last Sat. and no heat when getting home that night... kitchen propane stove also not working at that time... thought it out of gas... driver says not out of propane, leak in/near pilot light chamber and shut down and tagged unit for repair... says pilot light will not stay lit. But he did add 100 gallons to tank and the kitchen stove is working alright again. Furnace is a Coleman Presidential 2 mobile home installation with a new thermostat installed last March. Any ideas on what could make the pilot light refuse to stay lit? Driver says he tried to light and then it would "poof" out, so he tagged it. I looked at the pipe up on the roof and nothing seems to be blocking or plugging that... any thoughts would be appreciated as I don't want to be ripped off when the furnace man gets here to take a look-see... want to know if he will be trying to scam a new furnace or is really trying to repair the one I got....
Thor & blind? sound like good ideas to me... but the "get some beer" guy sounds like a bad joke to a serious{to ME} question that needed serious consideration for me... it is in low 30's tonight and not too happy right now. I will use the good answers as reference when the repair guy gets out here, and delete the sexist beer jokes as I have a low tolerance for bad jokes at the moment. 3 out of 4 responses arent bad, and gave me some sensible things to work with and learn on as I am a new home owner and never had furnace problems before now....scary when you dont know stuff and have to learn in a hurry... Thanks guys, for your help.
I also should thank Gizmoe too, he made sense too... thank you all guys, for not treating my question as an excuse for a dumb joke.
My house felt cold today, so i checked if the Furnace was working, and it was not. The fan was working, but there was no heat coming out.
I have an electronic furnace. Its a ColeMan.
Please answer. anything will help.
it lights with a glow bar, their is no pilot light, and it does have a flame it also stays lit,i just dont get where the heat goes if their is flame
replaced limit switch, combustion air switch, and now flame sensor. Furnace goes through regular start up and when glow rod lights up it gets initial flame and then it just goes out. Is there anyone that can help me get this furnace running? funds are tight.
I have a mobile home Coleman furnace.I had a company transport from a mobile home park to another park. The gas guy turned on services. The transformer does not make noise when we flicked the switch. I had everything working well until the transporters moved it. The gas pilot is working but not a high flame. I called the owner he never got back with me to help me on his end. They could have cut the wire on the thermostat or when the transports dropped the trailer down and leveled it.The owner wired up the power supply from the out side main.It sparked Do you think that made a cause from the outside main or maybe he cut the wire that goes to my thermostat and its not getting any power from that end? I check the power to the transformer and it has power to the wires. Maybe the switch burned out from the spark he did. Could I jump any wires? What could it be from? Someone please help its getting COLD!
